Join us on a full-day, off the beaten track bicycle tour of Angkor, and get to know the local lives that revolve around this magnificent complex! Besides biking to the main temples of Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom, and Ta Prohm, you will also have the opportunity to interact with the local community, join a cooking class, and sample local Khmer cuisine!

Stop 1: The Majestic Temple

We will begin our tour with an easy-paced 30-minute cycle through the jungle to reach Angkor Wat (don’t worry; it’s not as daunting as it sounds!) This is a route that many do not take, so you can be assured of a peaceful and relaxing ride away from the crowds. Your guides will lead you to the back of Angkor Wat, where you will be able to take in the architectural wonder of this UNESCO world heritage temple complex.

Stop 2: Bayon Temple

Your next stop is Bayon temple, another major complex built by King Jayavarman VII. Be charmed by the enigmatic face-towers as your guide tells you more about the history and construction of this unique ancient city.

Stop 3: Death Gate

Next up: “Death Gate.” Not as scary as it sounds, but rather, a very significant part of Angkor’s temple complex that kept out many enemies and intruders!

Stop 4: Local Cuisine

Hungry? We thought so! Leading you away from the temple complexes, your guides will now lead you to a local village where enable you to take a simple Khmer local cuisine! Get to know the friendly locals and learn more about their lives, which revolve around the temple complex of Angkor Wat.

Stop 5: Mysterious Temple

After lunch, your guides will lead you to the Jungle Temple of Taprom, where ''Tomb Raider'' was filmed. Observe the architectural intricacies of this unique temple. Marvel at the roots growing around, within, and through this archaic site.

Where to start a tour?
We start the tour at Butterfly Tours' office in Siem Reap. Our tuk-tuk pick up at your hotel at 7:40 AM and finishes around 4:00 PM
How can I pay for the tour?
You have two choices: (1) book online with us and deposit 30% and pay the rest at our office or pay 100% through our booking platform. (2) if you contact a local agency, you can either pay at the agency or pay directly at Butterfly Tours' office.
Do you offer tour for family with children?
We offer private tour for family. Parents must come along with kid(s). Children from 7 to 17 years old (discount 20%) and infant from 0-6 years old (discount 40%).
Why tour's price is different from the brochure?
We would like to apologize for different pricing on each tour. On the brochure design, we didn't include (VAT-10%) therefore, the price on the website is different according to the increase of 10% on each tour.
How do you contribute the tour's income to the local community?
Our company's philosophy to help the local economy by taking tourist to see their day-to-day living. Yet, while disturbing time as some tourists might take part in experiencing those activities, so we have decided to give them a small compensation which is included in the tour's price.
Cancellation Policy
- Prior to the start of your tour, your booking must be confirmed by Butterfly Tours
- If you have booked our tour through a travel agent, hotel, guesthouse, or any of our partners, please bring the receipt of your payment to our office on the day of your tour
- If you are incapable of riding your bike or choose to quit halfway through the tour, your tour payment will not be refunded
- If you cannot continue riding for the full length of tour and you decide to return, you will have to cover the cost of your transportation fee
- If cancellation is made more than 5 days before the date of departure, we will fully refund your deposit
- If cancellation is made less than 2 to 4 days before the date of departure, we will refund 50% of your deposit.
- If cancellation is made less than 48 hours before the date of departure, you will not be entitled to a refund
- Turning up late at the start of your tour for whatever reason is considered a late cancellation. You will not be entitled to a refund.
- No refund will be made should you voluntarily leave the tour early for any reason, including not being of adequate ability to ride a bicycle during the tour
